The SSI Open Water Diver digital kit is the most comprehensive theory material for beginners — it covers everything you need to know before diving independently in any ocean in the world. The 5 academic modules are structured progressively and include films, animations and interactive tests.
What you will study
Module 1 — Complete scuba equipment: BCD, regulator, computer, mask, fins
Module 2 — Dive physics: pressure, gas laws, effects of depth
Module 3 — Diver physiology: underwater breathing, nitrogen narcosis, decompression illness
Module 4 — Marine environment: navigation, currents, visibility, ecosystems

The digital kit is the theory component of the SSI Open Water Diver course. In-water training — pool sessions and 4 dives in the Black Sea — takes place separately with an instructor at ALPHAMARIN Dive Center Constanța.
