SSI Wreck Diving — Explore Black Sea Shipwrecks

The Black Sea is one of the world's most fascinating wreck diving destinations. The unique conditions of Pontic waters — reduced salinity, anoxic layers at depth — have preserved hundreds of wrecks in remarkable condition. The SSI Wreck Diving specialty gives you the skills and certification to safely explore these underwater treasures, directly from Constanța, with ALPHAMARIN Dive Center.

What you will learn

• Safe non-penetration wreck diving techniques (exterior exploration)

• Correct use of reel and guideline for wreck navigation

• Advanced buoyancy control around metal structures and corals

• Structural assessment of wrecks — hazards, safe zones and restricted areas

• History and protection of the Black Sea's underwater cultural heritage

Programme structure

1. 6 academic sessions — complete wreck diving techniques via SSI digital platform

2. 2 real wreck dives — exploring Black Sea shipwrecks, to 30m depth

Participation requirements

• SSI Open Water Diver certification (or recognised equivalent)

• Minimum age: 10 years
