SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) — Become a Scuba Instructor

The SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) is the programme that transforms you into a certified SSI Open Water Instructor — with full authority to certify divers from Try Scuba level through to Advanced Open Water Diver. Seventy to eighty hours of intensive training in teaching methodology, SSI standards and real student practice, at ALPHAMARIN Dive Center Constanța.

What you will gain

• Complete teaching methodology for SSI courses — structuring, communication and evaluation

• The ability to teach: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide

• SSI standards and procedures — documentation, safety and certification requirements

• Practical teaching experience with real students, supervised by an SSI Instructor Trainer

• Assistant Instructor option before the final evaluation

Programme structure

1. 10 academic sessions — teaching methodology and SSI standards

2. 6 pool training sessions — technical demonstrations and teaching skill evaluation

3. Teaching internship — real teaching with students under SSI Instructor Trainer supervision

4. Final SSI evaluation — Instructor Evaluation with external examiner

Participation requirements

• SSI Divemaster title (or recognised equivalent)

• Minimum 75 logged dives with at least 50 hours total dive time

• Minimum age: 18 years
