About the SSI Dive Guide Course
The SSI Dive Guide course is the first official step in a professional diving career. You will develop the skills and authority to lead certified divers in various conditions and environments — including the fascinating waters of the Black Sea at Constanța. ALPHAMARIN Dive Center provides you with complete training and the ideal environment to become a professional guide.
What you will learn
Leadership and professional responsibility in guiding diving groups
Complete dive briefings — site presentation, dive planning, signals and emergency procedures
Dive site evaluation — currents, visibility, hazards and points of interest
Assistance and supervision techniques for recreational divers underwater
Managing emergency situations as a group leader

5 academic sessions — leadership and SSI programme administration
4 pool training sessions — technical demonstrations and student assistance
5 guided dives — leading groups in the Black Sea, to 40m depth
Participation requirements
Minimum 40 logged dives with at least 25 hours total dive time
SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
Minimum age: 18 years
The SSI Dive Guide title allows you to work professionally as a dive guide and continue towards SSI Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. Constanța and the Black Sea coast offer real employment opportunities in the Romanian and European diving industry.
