About the SSI Deep Diving Course
The Black Sea hides at depths of 18–40 metres a fascinating world — spectacular geological formations, historic wrecks and rare ecosystems. The SSI Deep Diving specialty gives you access to this zone with comprehensive training in safety, planning and gas management for deep dives, at ALPHAMARIN Dive Center Constanța.
What you will learn
Safe planning and execution of dives between 18–40m depth
Advanced dive computer use at depth
Gas consumption calculation and safety reserve management
Recognising and preventing nitrogen narcosis (rapture of the deep)
Underwater navigation at depth and controlled ascent techniques
Programme structure
5 academic sessions — complete theory via the SSI digital platform
3 open water dives — progressive application of techniques, to 40m depth in the Black Sea
Participation requirements
SSI Open Water Diver certification (or recognised equivalent)
Minimum age: 15 years
The SSI Deep Diving specialty counts towards your Advanced Open Water Diver and Master Diver ratings, and opens access to exclusive dive sites in the Black Sea and worldwide — locations accessible only to divers certified for deep diving.
