Not sure which specialty to choose? SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the perfect answer — it lets you sample 5 different diving disciplines before fully committing to any one specialty. With ALPHAMARIN Dive Center Constanța, you complete Deep Diving and Navigation (mandatory) plus 3 elective specialties, each with one real dive in the Black Sea.

What you will learn

• Deep Diving (mandatory) — techniques and planning for dives to 30m

• Navigation (mandatory) — underwater orientation using compass and natural reference points

• 3 elective specialties from the SSI catalogue: Boat Diving, Nitrox, Night Diving, Wreck Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, Photo & Video and others

• Buoyancy management at greater depths

• Planning and debriefing for advanced dives

Programme structure

1. 5 academic sessions — one per specialty, via the SSI digital platform

2. 5 open water training dives — one per specialty in open water (Black Sea, up to 30m)

Participation requirements

• SSI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)

• Minimum age: 12 years

The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification is the stepping stone towards Master Diver and opens the door to SSI professional courses. Specialties completed within this programme count as credits towards full specialty certifications.
